Stunning chalcedony agate from Madagascar!  This form/colour is known as Orca Agate due to the deep blue/black hues, and patterning resembling that of an Orca. Blue Chalcedony Agate “Orca Stone” is a stunningly beautiful crystal. It is translucent blue, beige and grey with enchanting swirls. The markings are reminiscent of an Orca Whale. These brilliant stones are from Madagascar and are often referred to also, as Blue Agate. It is said to provide soothing and calming vibes that calm and relax the mind. Seriously, just holding a piece is so relaxing and soothing.

Chalcedony is a member of the Quartz family with a cryptocrystalline structure, perfect for magnifying its crystal energy to soothe and restore balance, from the conscious mind to the inner child, all the way down to the animal self. Its name may be derived from the Greek port city of Chalcedon. The ancient civilisations of Egypt, Greece and Rome used varieties of Chalcedony in jewellery and carvings, and, as gems of antiquity, they were believed to imbue their holders with certain powers.
