All gold and rose gold is gold fill. Unlike solid gold jewelry, gold-filled jewellery is composed of a solid layer of gold that is bonded to a base of another metal, in our case, sterling silver. Gold fill jewellery allows us a more pocket friendly price point, without compromising quality as some gold plated jewellery can.

Ruby is the red variety of corundum (Al₂O₃), coloured by trace chromium, which also gives many rubies a vivid red fluorescence. It crystallises in the trigonal system and rates 9 on the Mohs scale—second only to diamond. Fine “pigeon’s blood” rubies from Myanmar and modern greats from Mozambique are among the most coveted; rutile “silk” aligned within the crystal can create the famous star ruby asterism.
